Who we are
For six generations, our family has lived with coffee in the rich hills of Chiapas, Mexico. Our story began with the first seeds planted by our ancestors and grew through the hard work, passion, and knowledge passed down from one generation to the next. My grandfather, Eduardo Bracamontes Gris, captured much of this journey in his book El hechizo del café, sharing the story of our farms, our family, and the people who shaped the craft that continues today.
Today I am Adriano Bracamontes, the sixth generation leading Black Venom Coffee Co. Our beans come from our family farms, managed by my father, Andros Bracamontes. He believes in farming that protects the land while remaining productive and practical. Every bean reflects the patience, knowledge, and care that our family has cultivated for decades.
Black Venom Coffee is not only about heritage. It is about sharing the best coffee with everyone. We want to bring specialty coffee to people who may not know the world of coffee yet. Every cup we roast is crafted to offer bold, rich flavor without the high prices or unnecessary pretension. We want coffee to be accessible and memorable while honoring the story and craft behind it.
Our mission goes beyond coffee. We want to create a better world for the farmers who grow it, the workers who handle it, the animals and environment that sustain it, and the communities that enjoy it. In the future we hope to support conservation, research, and education while continuing to innovate and share our story. Black Venom Coffee Co. is our family heritage brought to life in a new way. It is a story about passion, craft, and people, one cup at a time.
Meet the Founder
I am Adriano Bracamontes. I grew up as the sixth generation in a family of coffee cultivators in the hills of Chiapas, Mexico, learning from my family the care, patience, and knowledge that go into every bean.
The idea for Black Venom Coffee Co. came in an unexpected place, the Sacramento Reptile Show in September 2023. I had just gotten my first snake, Bartholomew Sympson, or Barney, and my dad and I were walking the expo, filming reptiles and talking with people. In that expo, he mentioned that no one was selling coffee at the show. I barely noticed but the idea had taken hold. Black Venom was born, a brand that blends our family’s coffee heritage with a fresh, creative approach and a love for reptiles.
Now, as the sixth generation, I lead Black Venom, bringing my passion for film, photography, and art into the brand. I want to create coffee that is accessible, high-quality, and full of personality, while honoring the heritage and values that have guided our family for generations.
